About the Exam
This is the official DAMA CDMP exam, the same one you would sit online at home. You can take the Data Management Fundamentals exam or any of the Specialist exams, and every candidate in the room can be sitting a different one. Each exam has 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes. It is open book: you may bring one resource, either the DMBoK or your own notes. Your score decides your level: Associate, Practitioner or Master. After a short review by DAMA, your result, digital badge and certificate follow within about ten working days. What you need: a valid CDMP exam registration and a government-issued photo ID. No exam yet? I'm Ronald Baan, and I'll be in the room with you on the day. I hold the CDMP at Master level, so I've sat these exams myself and I know exactly what that morning feels like. Through Mastering Data, I train people for the CDMP. Many of them come from Dutch government organisations such as water authorities, municipalities and ministries, and others from organisations around the world. I'm also VP Marketing at DAMA International and a member of the editorial board for the next edition of the DMBoK, where I'm writing the chapter on Document and Content Management. I started these sessions for a simple reason: too many well-prepared people lost their exam to a laptop that wouldn't cooperate. You've done the work. My job on the day is to make sure nothing else gets in the way.
